Students interested in writing 和 publishing may work with three publications edited 和 published by students: 金沙js6038自由出版社, the student newspaper; the college yearbook, a pictorial collage of campus life; 和对比每年出版一次的文学杂志. In addition students operate the college radio station 和 a cable broadcast channel.

McDaniel students have developed a variety of 组织 that recognize 和 celebrate all forms of diversity. These 组织 play an important role in educating 和 developing awareness in the McDaniel Community. The student multicultural 组织 are recognized by the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) 和 advised by the Office of 多样性、公平和包容 (ODEI). The groups primarily function independently with a few collaboratively planned events each semester.

The 文化领导委员会 (CLC) will be comprised of the current multicultural student 组织. The council will gather to discuss educational program ideas 和 strategies to increase collaboration among the groups. The CLC will also be a sounding board for other students from underrepresented communities to address concerns/issues that they may have.

非洲的遗产: The purpose of Africa’s Legacy is to provide an environment in which students are enriched by the study of many cultures, 建立积极的自我形象, 并从相互支持中受益. This organization works to educate peers, 熟人, 教师, 和 staff through cultural events 和 experiences. African diasporic cultures are emphasized but all cultures are welcome.

黑人学生会: The purpose of the Black Student Union (BSU) is to promote the recognition 和 involvement of African American students at 金沙js6038 with the intention of creating a strong voice on campus 和 to make an impact on the decisions regarding students of the College Community. BSU promotes both academic 和 extracurricular programs to enhance 和 increase knowledge 和 appreciation of cultural diversity.
旋度朋友: Curl Friends purpose is to spread awareness 和 knowledge about natural hair. They host an annual Natural Hair Conference for students 和 community members at 金沙js6038. They bring in YouTube personalities 和 a natural Hair psychologist to talk about natural hair its impact in the black/African American community.
Hispano-Latinx联盟: The Hispano-Latinx Alliance (HLA) is dedicated to giving Hispanic students a chance to express themselves 和 their heritage in a comfortable environment, 和 also to educate the McDaniel campus about Hispanic culture.
League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC): LULAC is a nationally affiliated student group. The Mission of the League of United Latin American Citizens is to advance the economic condition, 受教育程度, 政治影响力, 住房, health 和 civil rights of the Hispanic population of the United States. The McDaniel chapter is an organization comprised of student leaders that seek to make a difference 和 leave a lasting impact through their advocacy efforts aimed at advancing the rights 和 issues that affect the community. Students will have the chance to network, meet members of Congress 和 make friends with other LULAC student leaders from across the country.
穆斯林学生协会: The 金沙js6038 Muslim Student’s Association will focus on providing a place of peace, 为所有学生提供安全和社区, no matter their background; to the best ability of every member; strengthen the brotherhood 和 sisterhood of students through Islam; 和 find success both on campus 和 off by improving our faith in Quran 和 Sunnah (teaching, 先知穆罕默德的言行).
