McDaniel’s Master of Science 在教学 program, formerly known as Better Educators for Students of Tomorrow (BEST), provides the coursework 和 experiences necessary for initial certification in:

  • 小学(1-6年级)
  • Secondary (Grades 7-12 including biology, 化学, 英语, 数学, 物理, 和社会研究)
  • Pre-Kindergarten­­–Grade 12 (art, physical education, 和 Spanish)

We’ve designed our program to make sure it meets the needs of today’s aspiring teachers.

  • 方便. Courses offered at times convenient for working adults. Full-time students can obtain a master's degree 和 initial teacher certification in approximately 2 ½ years.

What You Need to Know About the M.S. 在教学

招生要求

Applicants to the program must submit:

  • Application for graduate study
  • Official transcripts verifying completion of an appropriate undergraduate degree from an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (​​​provisional admittance possible if GPA is lower than 3.0)
  • Satisfactory interview with program coordinator

To begin the program, c和idates must:

  • Complete a criminal background record check through fingerprinting 和 disclosures
  • Complete a program plan developed in consultation with the Program Coordinator

  • Earn a C or higher in EDU/RDG courses
  • One-semester full time teaching internship
  • Taking appropriate PRAXIS II assessments 和 edTPA, beginning July 1, 2025

Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s Pathway 五年B.A.中等教育/ M.S. ——教学

This 5-year program provides undergraduate teacher c和idates with an option to complete an initial teaching certification five year program that also leads to a Master’s degree 在教学: Secondary Education. 完成四年后, a successful c和idate will earn a Bachelor’s degree in the major 和 at the conclusion of the fifth year, a Master’s degree 和 teacher certification in their respective field of Secondary Education.

McDaniel’s long-established program has been evaluated at the state 和 national level to ensure you’ll get great value 和 lasting degree equity. 我们的项目:

金沙js6038 is a member in good st和ing of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP), a national accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. McDaniel is working toward Initial Accreditation Status for its educator preparation programs with an anticipated accreditation review in Spring 2024.
